Anyone Carbon Fibre their bodies?

I'm going to make a carbon fibre hood, front fenders, and look at doing other parts for my 79. I've looked on the Internet to see what other people have done that may be similiar, but don't see much for the 1st gen RX's.

I'm not a "fast and furious" type of guy, but I love making carbon fibre parts. Is this taboo or is there another reason I don't see people doing it? Maybe money?

lol

I was planning on painting most of it and just leaving a stripe or something else so it just shows the CF as an accent......

Will that still look like ***?

I'm just a freak for light-weight.

I haven't done well at producing custom stuff - yet. The only good pieces I've popped out have been exact replicas of the OEM shtuff or other parts that I have. It's so easy just to pop a mould off and make a part - instead of spending days sanding and filling a part to try and get it symmetrical.

If you have pics of some cool ones, I can look at them and figure out if it is worth my time to try. I'm always open to ideas. ---- or are you talking about just copying the stock one?

I had to take the "s" out of ".com.aus"

I have to admit - I like that dam better than any other kit I've seen for the 1st gen. I don't see myself doing anything like that soon - since I have about 10 projects going on right now - but if I do, I'll post back

I'm not a fan of the dams that are out flush with the bumper (on the 1st gen Rx-7). It just doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the car. It looks like a big "chin" on a small car.

Just my opinion, though
