Anybody running BF Goodrich Drag tires, on a Turbo FB

Hey Guys,

I just got my 85 GSL-SE TII back up and running after having the motor rebuilt and several other things done. I am running 225/15 BF Goodrich drag radials. Seems like my rear is floating under full throttle and won't track straight.

Whats your experience with these tires?

I am running the tires and 40psi, 44 is max and making a least 300rwhp.

Yes, it happens. I thought something was wrong when I first put them on.
You get used to it. BTW - too much PSI, and you wont grip as well either.

I also found out that my Idler Arm Assemby was bad, and replacing it
helped the car track muuuuch straighter.

I ran a set two years ago. 205/50/15. **** drove them on the street for the summer as well they were the drag radials though. Sounds like your running straight slicks. I concur you are running too much air pressure.

What tire pressure would you guys suggest?

I had them at 35 psi and cruising on the freeway the car felt floaty as well.

I think they were mad because the exhaust was too loud and eyes were stinging from the exhaust fumes.

and the fact that you floored in 3rd just as they hit the lights and shut down at 90mph.

Found the problem. Seems these tires bite real well. I bent the **** out of the rear lower suspension link on the passenger side.

Replaced the link and took the drag radials off for now. Installed tokico 5 ways and set on 5. Robert at the Rotary Shack is going to make some reinforced links as well. Once I have those the drag radials will go back on.

Anyone else have this issue?
