Whats up David?
I took that pump sheild off. I drilled three holes in the floorpan where the stock pump mounts and mounted the pump bracket there. You mount it side ways there. You could mount it farther up the axle arch if you want to mount it up right like the instructions say. I used the pump mounted on the side for 2 years with no problems.
We mounted it the same way on the race car and it has had no problems either.
You have to take the bin out behind the driver seat to screw the nuts onto the bolts but thats no big deal. It's real straight forward.
Mike thompson munted his using the pump sheild and it is loud as hell. It's loud anyway but his is even louder than most because it resonates off that sheild.

Later,
Mike

I mounted mine on the frame rail right before the rear axle. I mounted it vertically the way the instructions stated. I wish that I had of used some rubber spacers to reduce the noise level.
You will have to purchase a pressure regulator from Summit also. And you will need a pressure gauge, the only accurate one that I am aware of is from Paul Yaw for $45.00.
I mounted my regulator on the firewall by the hood latch. It required a 90 degree fitting to make it fit there.

I still have the Fb. It's just striped down to the hull and I'm building an ITA race car out of it.

I sold my engine because it was illegal for the class I'm racing and I sold the fuel system with it, along with the carb and my RB exhaust.

Mike
