Are any T2 swap guys using FD throttle cable?

The T2 cable I've been running on my swap is pretty ratty, and I thought I remember reading that the FD cable will work, and is actually a bit shorter and fits better. Anyone using one on their car?

I thought I remembered reading through Z-Beater's thread and seeing that the FD throttle cable was a lot longer since it wrapped around the manifold due to the FD's throttle set-up. Maybe if you found a way to take up all of that slack?

I can't imagine it being longer than a T2 cable since the T2 cable has to go all the way around the top mount i/c on there.
Maybe I'll search the 2nd gen section to see if any of those guys are using one...

Nope no need the FC cable is long and the FD is too long it will swoop under the turbo and back up if thats what you need to do then it will work.

Oh I guess i misread then, if both of you are saying the FD cable is longer... Oh well I'll just stick with a T2 cable then.

I have a TII throttle cable on my Lake Cities intake and its way too long. You could try an NA 2nd gen throttle cable. I've read they're shorter than the TII cable but still longer than the stock FB cable.

Use your stock cable sheath, and get some bicycle brake cable. They come in a variety of ends
and can fit inside your stock sheath. Cut to fit and enjoy. I did that on my old Lake Citys manifold.
