In my 82 my Gear Box is gone out! My wheels won't turn at all. And my 84 gas is over flowing on the top of the Carb into the barrels. And the one guy that I do know that works on them, won't work on anyones Rx's but his. I've got an 85' that I might be willing to part out if I don't find a gear box. (I know? GOOD LOOK!) I've got a Chilton book but its not telling my a thing on how to remove the gear box at all.

Sounds interesting, I wish we were neighbors. It all seems impossible at first, but there's always a way. The 84 probably needs a carb rebuild, sounds like the floats are stuck. The transmission is a pretty big job because you need to jack up the car really well then undo about 100 connections, most of them holding on heat shielding and of course the tranny to the motor. But if I can do it you can do it. Get a Haines manual, I think they are a little more clear, and use the search button, just about everyone has had the tranny out once or twice. Parts for these cars are pretty common, check the local yards and the parts section on this forum. GOOD LOOK!
