I don't think any one took it over, all the same parts and everything are now under blackdragonauto.com

Nobody took over VB. Long Motors, the company that runs VB, decided to separate the British car parts business/brand from the RX-7 and Z-car business/brand. I still go into the VB store and buy my RX-7 parts there.

They shot themselves in the foot. I noticed they quit selling RX-7 parts and figured they sold off the business. There is nothing in the new Victoria British catalog or web site that mentions RX-7 parts at all! It's like their RX-7 parts just vanished completely with no explanation.

Some people are rightfully skittish about doing business with new companies and would avoid "Blackdragon" if they just heard the name. Smooth move Long Motors, go back to business school. LOL.

Didn't seem too much of a problem for 99% of their customers.

LMC has been doing this thing for many years. I think they know what they are doing.

A quick glance at their main page revealed this, maybe you should go back to open your eyes and be observant school.

I have no idea what percentage of their customers got the wrong impression, but I know of at least a couple or 3. When I looked at the catalog and web site a few months ago I didn't see it, and didn't see it again earlier tonight. Oh well I see it now thanks. Hopefully Malloy, Mazdatrix, Racing Beat, etc. don't decide to go incognito next. haha

Speaking of feet, when you manage to remove your's from your mouth, I might tell you a story. LOL

Nothing has changed, other than the name, which better differentiates the Japanese market parts from the rest of a very extensive model and product line. VB still exists for the British cars.

VB's usually just good for stock replacement parts, but rarely high performance...

Funny what dragging down that little bar at the right side of the browser will reveal.

Personally, I think the link ought to be higher on the page, because many people don't scroll all the way down web pages, but IIRC it was higher at one time. Maybe the internet archive has a cached version of the page. I'd check, but the powers that be at work have deemed the internet archive some sort of subversive web site and blocked access.

I, too, confess to having overlooked the Black Dragon information on the VB web site and purchased the parts I needed elsewhere. Perhaps it was only a small loss. I'll have a look tomorrow at my Victoria British catalog, in search of reference to Black Dragon.

The decision to abandon a recognised brand name is often taken with due consideration--yet often yields mixed results at best. Lacking complete information, one can nevertheless proffer the old, yet still-valid, print media advice regarding fold lines.

If you need new door seals, check out 1AAuto.com. They have the least expensive 1st gen door weatherstripping I've found. Not sure if they carry the vert one's though.

I stopped at VB, LM, BDA a couple weeks ago while at the Runoffs & bought some stuff for a 1st gen. You folks that are always looking for the plastic stuff need to take a look. Two different front spoilers, a Whale tail & some wide body stuff to fit your big ol tires under.

Counter people don't get any nicer than the guy IIRC Greg at the counter.
