The simple answer is that we have out-grown this version of the forum software. The attachment tables in the database have grown to the maximum size allowable in our current configuration. The good news is that we are planning on upgrading the forum software in the VERY near future and doing so will free us from these constraints. Hold tight guys, relief is coming soon.
Thanks inittab, I knew someone would know what was going on. As for the work arounds, I can host on my own system, it just isn't completely stable right now so I don't like doing it. But thanks for the info.

i go through once a month and delete the 1-month old stuff, so it wouln't make a great archive. but you can bounce pics off it for the forum.
it's real easy to work. you just find the pic on your hard drive, submit it, and it will spit out a url for you to use in the img tag.
ps: i woun't really mind if a mod posted this as a sticky.

Here are a few good free image hosting sites:
zippyimages
imageshack
Photobucket
All are free, and the first two don't even require registration. You upload whatever image you want to use the site will provide you with a url that is used to show your image in a board such as this. They all also allow direct linking, so you just use the "IMG" tags and you can post pics that way; no putzing with the Attach file doo-dad.
