I have a 1980 SA22C with a 83 intake and carb on it, I got my car going great except for when its warm it bogs out really bad in 3rd-5th gear around 4,000 rpm, the more gas i give it the worst it gets, i changed the fuel pump and filter because i thought it was gas related, but its still doing the same thing, it has new plugs, should i look into a new cap, rotor, and plug wires? I also heard of the Thermal Reactor being plugged also, could someone help me on what to look at. Thanks much

So is it the secondaries not kicking in? Because it does the same exact thing as his car was doing but it accelerates really quick in 1st into 2nd gear then starts bogging down

 

I'm not sure. It's not something that's happened to me. I just thought you might find something in those tips. Did you look in the 1st gen FAQ for help?
