Any hope for oxidation?

Well, after a quote of 1200.00 for a paint job, I was wondering if there's anything else I can do to a white car that has very litttle clear coat left to make it look better. Any miracle products out there that y'all have tried?

3m Perfect It III , rubbing compound I use it on new paintjobs when I paint cars. That and a nice buffer or if your up to the task, by hand Available at the local auto paint place... Its about 18 bucks for a bottle... Awesome stuff...

Will this put a shine back on the paint where clearcoat has worn off? Also, I got autozone and advanced, which has this stuff?
Thanks MIKE-P, you may have 'done it again'!

Ever seen a FRESH paintjob after you wet sand it with 1200-1500 grit? LOL looks like TOTAL AND ABOSLUTE ****, put the compound to it and a high speed buffer and it shines like a mirror...

You probally only gonna find it from an auto paint and supply place... Call a well known body shop and ask them where they buy their paints and supplys locally...

So, I use a buffer with this stuff, then wax?
Help with step by step for this poor uninformed, but well intentioned, rex owner.

Thanks!

i thought my hood was a gone r with its dull finish, so for grins i tried mothers mag and aluminum wheel polish, damm,,,i saw fresh shiney paint in the spot i was rubbing,,,so did the whole hood,,,,,looks like (almost) new paint again,,,,,but let me tell you this,,you will have to rub the same very small spot about 5 minutes to do it right, and only use a finger tip amount,,dont apply it like regular polish ,,just my two cents.......
