its sold.
keep an eye out though, I've seen them pop up a few times. There are Japanese ones as well as some old aftermarket ones. Its also possible to use a backseat from a 2+2 2nd Gen.

Damn, it did start!
sent an email to my state patrol asking about kids and booster seats. This is what they had to say about kids in the back.

This message is in response to your e-mail.
Check with the manufacture guidelines on installing child safety seats.
It may be they recommend the booster seat for your three year old be
placed in the front seat. It is not against the law to have a child in
the front seat, it is just not recommended, especially in vehicles with
passenger side airbags - I am guessing your vehicle doesn't even have a
driver's side airbag because they were not standard until late 80's or
early 90's.
There is no specific law for placement of children or use of booster
seats in smaller sporty cars, it should be based on the manufacturers
recommendations as to what seat would accommodate a child seat. An
ill-fitting child seat may be more dangerous than having the child sit
in a lap belt, check with the manufacture of the booster seat as well
for installation instructions.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Sincerely,
Equipment
