Any 2+2 drivers out there?

If so, what is the silver handle in the middle bottom of the rear seat supposed to do? I have pulled it, pushed it, twisted it, and swore at it, but nothing clicks, and nothing moves.

Any help appreciated!

Hmm... I'm assuming you have an aftermarket seat since my Savanna doesnt have a handle on the original Mazda seat. My parts car has an aftermarket back seat and it has a large silver handle towards the top of the back. It unlatches the seat when you pull on it allowing you to flip the seat forward .

the little "t" handle is a cable that goes to the locking tab thing that allows the rear seat to fold over.....so you have hatch space again. I really had to wd the HELL out of mine to get it to free up but after that it was all good

Thanks for the help!

It's in the centre of the bottom of the seat, but the seat flops freely...

Looks like I'll have to pull it to check it out.

I'm replacing the seat anyway as one hinge is broken, and I use the car to carry my kids...I'll pay a little extra for some peace of mind!
