havent got it installed yet because i have to fab up a couple pieces. I have a couple other things that have to be done first...including my header has to be finished, my overhead strut bar, and then i get to fab my stuff with stainless.

Yeah thats what i am geting too, though i must say that i am trading for a blown T2 with lots of mods.. And , sadly l will miss her. But this is a gsl-se w/ a 12at j-spec. No header though just racing beat exhaust.

I used to want a jdm 12at, but if I were going to go turbo I would build a custom setup even if it would be more efficient to use a fuel injected setup instead of a carb setup. The tiny turbo on the jdm 12at I wouldn't imagine would be able to produce a whole lot of power.

well the first 12at iin 83' was carbed and then the 84-85 was FI and with a bigger turbo. I was thinking the same thing though. I am getting alot of responses saying to fab up the s4 13b turbo woith the racing beats header flange. Inexspensive and easy to do. And not to mention, aome more power. Heres some pics of the motor

All OEM/JDM 12A Turbos were fuel injected.

I have an 84 j-spec 12at, it's a mid range GT-X.
It's a great fun car but not real fast.
The biggest problem with them is because they are
so rare (est 10-15 in Australia) doing any real performance
mods just dosen't seem right.

Hey guys.
the later turbo wasn't really bigger, but was improved to reduce
lag, a byproduct of this was an increase of power from 160 to 165hp
i tryed to post some pictures of my car but didn't happen
