That one looks similar to the one that Victoria British sells. (Which I just ordered from last night.)

Well, radio shack still has the power antennas for $19.99, which is what you should get (goes down when you turn of the car, see jimrothe.com). I put one on my 84 and it was great, but got rearended a week later, taking the antenna with it. So I got another GSL (with a plastic antenna) and called up my local radio shack, which had one of Jim Rothe's wonders left. Call around, they are out there!

the issue of it curving in the wind hasn't happened with this one... But without a damn digicam I either have to finish off this roll of film or get a friend over here! GAH!

Got mine at Canadian Tire. They are like $10 CDN. It does curve in the wind and stays curved for several minutes but it always goes straight again.

With all you folks switching to fixed antennas, I'll bet someone has a spare power antenna mounting bracket lying around. It is a flattened metal wrap around bracket that comes out with the power antenna. I want to put a power antenna in my new 85 GSL, but the bracket was removed - can anyone help me out! Of course you will be well compensated!

Finally got pics!

And about my hand... it was raining (as you may notice) I *had* to have that hand in the way to keep the rain off the lens.

How can I get one!?

Vipernicus,

Wow, I LOVE that antenna. Having a few problems tracking one down however. I live in the states and for some reason our radioshacks don't list that antenna as being available. If they do have anything by that part number it comes up as a black plastic whip style antenna. Not the nice one like you posted.

I found it on radioshack.ca, but I'm having some problems ordering. They list on the site that they will only take canadian VISA, Mastercard, and radioshack credit cards. It says that they won't take american express or international credit cards. So Im guessing that they won't take an American VISA card via the internet??

If you don't think that they will take my Credit card, would you be willing to track one of these down for me and I will gladly reimburse you? I'm willing to do paypal if you are a paypal user. PLease let me know ASAP, as I"m in the middle of my stereo install and I really want to get things put back together! Thanks!

Jamie
