did you put anything between the new piece of the gas tank and the old? are you not worried about it leaking?

i have my two MSD boxes mounted to the inside of my radiator support. theyre completely hidden unless you crouch and look into the cars air dam. i love the location, but may not be an option for you if you want to run a FMIC.

Very nice. Every time I see a turbo 12A I think I should start working on going that route. But I just love my Sterling. I guess I'll need to get another FB.

On another note you could relocate the battery to the right storage bin area and put the MSD's in it's place. That's an area that doesn't get wet and you could fab a container for them to make doubly sure they'll stay dry. That way you can show some chicks how fast your car is without them having to stick their feet on the dash

depends on how short the skirt is...

Good build sir! Wont need to trash talk with 12at, let the V8 boys back themselves in a corner and let your car do all the work for you.

the tank is sealed pretty well, fuel safe RTV on the mating surface and JB weld around the outer edges along w/ a load of rivets ( i dont ever plan on takin them apart again).

finding a location for the MSD's was pain in the ***. the battery has already been relocated to the passenger storage bin, but due to the routing of the intercooler piping, the MSD's cannot be mounted at the battery tray area nor the passenger side wheel well area. in front of the radiator/on the core support is also a no go due to my oversized FMIC. that being said, the only feasable place was inside the drivers compartment, so i chose the passenger floor. im probably going to build a steel box/kickpanel over them so i can take passengers along w/ out worry

Very creative idea for mounting the surge tank. I do a similar mod, but mount the Walbro 255 lph pump in the tank. Only extra thing thing I need to do is install the sump cup from a 2nd gen tank inside the 1st gen tank. I use the entire 2nd gen fuel pump/pickup assembly too.

what kind of bov do you have? i have the same kind that came with my s5 tii motor..
Also what is the specs on that intercooler? and wouldnt it be blocking air flow to the oil cooler?

Im planning on getting a fmic in the near future but am worried about blocking air flow to the oil cooler. Thanks!! and this build is looking great props man!.

you can always mount the msd boxes in the cowl area, lots of cool air and there are water drains too
