Another CP racing rant

Ok, so I've read about CP racing and their problems with customer relations. So I'm looking through ebay at one of their items for sale.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33746

My chosen highlight: "Funds due within 24hrs of end of auction. Due to a recent rash of dead beat bidders I am afraid I must insist on the above guidelines being met. In the event payment information is not received within 24hrs a fraud report will be filed with ebay as well as a negative feedback submitted. Thanks"

So this guy needs someone to pay for the item within 24 hours of auction ending, but he wants to wait around for 3 months or more to ship items out to customers? LOL this guy sounds like a joke. Is he on this forum? I'd love to speak with him on his business beliefs and principles. All I see is loves to get your money, but once that's over with he'd love to take his time and not be bothered with shipping what you bought. tool

Have you ever purchased anything from him???? I have and it was shipped fast and came just as discribed. So I'm not sure what your rant is?

Just my 2 cents

no I haven't but if you'd do a search you'd find LOTS of people that have negative experience with him. Just recently you don't even have to search. I'm glad you had a good experience with him, I probably won't give them a chance with all the stuff I've heard.

yep read that!..I am one of the unfortunate that had a very very bad experience with Chris.
I think some people just got lucky that they got their stuff on time. But if you really want to do business you should treat everyone the same and ship what they paid for on time and not make them wait 2-3 months. Oh and dont even bother with their FC suspension bars. They dont fit right and does not clear some parts of the engine bay. Very bad design...

If ever you want to do business with him i suggest you have them COD the package... good luck!

Triangulated strut bar for the 1st gen fits like crap too. Hits on the charcoal canister and break master cylinder

Well, all the business I've done with CP has been positive. They sent my R&P kit exactly when they said they would and were prompt in answering my questions about the install. In fact when I had a problem with a part they agreed to replace it without much hassle. Turnaround on it was as fast as I could ask for.

I wasn't thrilled with the kit but it's not a disappointment. Install is a bitch though (fyi).

I like CP enough to buy from them again. Stay tuned for a 5-lug, 4 piston bouis

2 thumbs down. Not to mention he avoided alot of my emails and phone calls. Oh and he claimed that package was on the way but the truth was that the package was still in his possesion.

Well... I'm waiting for a strut tower brace I got on Ebay. It's by no means late, but I will certainly feedback here and on Ebay if days turn into weeks. I hope the fitment is not an issue ( I got the one with the firewall bracing ). That would suck to have to modify an item specifically made for the application. We'll see...

if its for an FC i have seen one installed and sure enough the brace on the firewall side does not even reach the metal. There is about 1/4" gap. I hope you wont have the same problems both waiting and final install. Let us know how it turns out. Keep us updated.

i haven't heard a lot of good things myself, a buddy of mine bought their headlight kit and it took them 4 monthes to show up. i think that was enough to make me choose not to buy anything from them
