Exclamation Another ACV question

My Air Control Valve is blowing extremely hot air. So hot that it melted the grey attatchment thing on the airbox. Is this normal?

i never hear something like that before. i think not??? it should not blow hot air from that tube, i think the only air (and correct me if im wrong) is the pressurise air from the air pump.

Anyone else have any idea?
Additionally, the car is down on power. I can floor it on the hiway, I hear the ACV valve blowing, it accelerates somewhat slowly, and an awful smell comes from the engine bay. I'm almost positive its melting plastic from my fire-breathing ACV hose.
