Anone have B&G springs?

I have tokico blues and eibach springs on my 83 S and want to do something different for my 83 GS project. Just want some feedback about these springs, they claim to lower it 1.4 inches, do they? Are they streetable? For those who do have them, what shocks/struts you running? TIA

I thought there were problems when lowering a 7 more than an inch up front I can't remenber what it is but I think it is serious. stick with eibachs or go with a ajustable coilover setup from mazdatrix

Bah, no problems... Mine's lowered pretty considerably for autocrossing, and the only problem I have is clearance... (speed bumps, etc.)

yea I didn't think there would be any major problems. I know mazdatrix's site says anything lower than 1" can cause alignment issues (or something like that) but I think they say that as a warning for those who want to lower it like 3" by cutting the springs or something, 1.4" should still work fine.

I think it was shock be depressed to far and damageing the seals inside them all from the suspension no longer having enough travel. But if Lt. Dan autocrosses his car and has no probs then go for it. Good luck

I have the B&G springs and I would say that I like them.

they give a nice stance to the car, and with my Tokico illuminas the car is on rails.

I would like to cut one coil on the front to bring it down a bit, with my new bigger fuel tank, the back should sit about right how it is.

the front is not what has problems, the shox are fine, but the stock ones can not handle heavier rate springs, most aftermarkets will fix this.

the back is problem with lowering, the controll arms bind up if the car gets too low. This causes the rear suspension rate to increase, and causes the car to snap overstear.

a panhard bar and three link fixes this.
