Angry "Altitude Adjustment selonoid"

i took my 7 to a reputible shop a couple miles from my house, by the name of vp racing fuels, and its been there for mabey 1.5 weeks now, and after having the carb rebuilt they are saying the car is running lean, and is real choppy because the altitude adjustment seloniod is malfunctioning and they cant seem to find another one.

so what im asking is can i get a new (or used but functional) one of thes, or if i remove it will it cause problems, because if it wont cause problems i'll tell them to just toss it and that'd be it

Sounds like they're making a big deal outta nothing...

Where do you live in San Diego and how often do you go above about 2000ft?

if you do that often you'll probably need it...

Will have to check my service literature to see if our cars do have this part though.

i dont plan on ever really living above probably 1200-1800ft i hate mountains to live in and thats what i said but he said and i quote " its running real lean because that selonoid's busted" so it shouldnt even be an issue anyway apearently

Hmmm Have them remove it, all its there for is to adjust the carb for altitude changes...
