alternator and radiator

im slowing putting my engine bay back together..... i was about to put the stock alternator on but i thought of something.. do you guys think it will be able to handle a elecrtic fan along with everything else. im also putting on a full ignition system on. will that effect it too? i have a second gen alternator out in my shed somewhere... lol .. would that one work better? in know there is something with wattage or something... not too good with elecrical stuff like that. same thing with the radiator. i have a second gen radiator in the back, and its much lighter. will it work as good? thanks

2nd gen alt is a good upgrade as well as the 2nd gen rad. With out knowing what model your 7 is, well I can't tell you if it will fit easy. I know a few gsl-se guys that have the 2nd gen alt and one of them has the 2nd gen rad.
Do a search in the 1st gen fourm and you should find the answers to your questions based on your 7 .

ive got a 4-port 13b. it looks like the 2nd gen alt should bolt up pretty easy, might need a spacer. if its a good upgrade then ill go through the trouble of getting it to fit, if not then ill just put the old one on

Have that alt tested first to make sure it works (testing is free) and to see what the output is. It needs to be putting out more than your stock unit to be worth the upgrade.

I'm running DLIDFIS and a 30 amp electric fan. When my fan kicks on I'm just barely over 12 volts, so I would suggest going with the 2nd Gen alt.
