Question alternator question...

i was looking through my things...and i found a nice sized alternator...it looks liek it would fit my car..and my car does need an alternator upgrade...thing is...this one doesnt have that T looking plug on the right side of the stock one...does that mean that the new alt wont charge without it?
maybe it doesnt have the plug because its a self charging alternator? idk if that even exists
any help??

Not enough info, like what did the alt come off of. Simplest upgrade is an S4, it's plug and play.

I might be WAY off with this but that "t-plug" is for the voltage meter on the dash. I'm not positive on that, but i think so. The small round wire is the charging one i believe. But if I was you, I'd go with the S4 alt. It'll be the easiest by miles.

S4 is '86-'88. The S5 ('89-'91) require a simple wirining change, but are otherwise bolt-on.
