Alternator bracket bolt!

During my rebuild I have lost the bolt that attaches my alternator bracket to the water pump housing.. Does anyone know the size of this bolt?

Just measure the length you need, then head down to the autoparts store. They will have a huge selection to choose from. Just tell them you need an alternator bolt, and the length, and you should be outta there under 5 bucks...

Probably just as easy to get the bolt from Mazda

(This was for a 84/85, the 79 and 81-83 parts fiche are in the link below)

Thanks, that is a really great diagram, I was hoping not to have to walk into the dealer looking for a single bolt, but I might have to..

I wonder why it is such an odd size, I've tried other bolts from all over the engine and none fit
