I wired my radar detector to run off of a cnstant 12v source in my car (since i wanted it on 90% of the time and wanted to use the lighter outlet for my phone charger) so i used the center hole and put a switch in there to control the radar. If a cop comes it'll be off without having to reach up.

The bass **** sounds cool too.

Ahh ... from the previous post it sounded like you could fit it in the power window spots ..., but i see what you mean now ... but ipods suck so to boot them out.
