If you have stock rims you're just gonna mushroom with 205s...

Mazda put some thought into what a 5 1/2" rim could handle. They came up with the right size and it ain't 205. 185 will hold you fine. IMPO

Correct...but the right size is almost extinct. If I did, I was only thinking of running 205's in the rear.

205/13 sumis all around and no complaints. I bought a spare set at the time but I know the clock is running. Suspect we will looking to the Chinese to bail us out. Again. Gad.

I've used the HTR200s on stock rims in 215/50/13 size with great success. The performance improvement from the 205 was noticeable. Did they flex? Yep. But did they also grip like crazy? Also Yep.

Moving the 215s to a 8" wide wheel did improve things noticeably, but you can definitely run them on the stock rims...
