Alternative Emission Removal?

I'm going to start the rats nest removal on my '81 and I was going through the walkthrough on the mazspeed site. I was just wondering if there was another belt other than the 3L220 lawnmower belt that I can use instead?

I don't know if there's an alternate, but here's the one I recently purchased:

Yoohoo Belt

WHy woudl U want to use a different belt? I went the local ACE hardware shop by my house and they had tons of them. They work great. Any mower supply store should have tons of them in stock. It is a common belt.

Just barely. Better to have the extended contact that this belt provides...

You don't really need one if you don't have the clutch fan. Peejay runs without it.

But my 3L220 belt really sucks. Its WAY too loose, it just hangs there. I'm going to try the yoohoo belt.

Clutch Fan FTW

I have never run the FHP belt. I have always just left the stock belt on there. I have never had it slip by just running the alt belt and not the smog pump belt. And yes i have burried the tach many times.

Actually, I don't use another belt either. I also haven't had any slippage, even while racing. However, this totally goes against my theory of "do it right the first time". I planned on getting one, just for the extra assurance, but haven't actually gotten around to it. Anyway, I recommend using it even though I don't.

I don't have the belt either. I spent saturday at the track, in 100+ temps. Only thing that got hot, was me. I do carry a spare belt, though........

The best way to solve this problem; if it really is a problem, is to buy the double sheaved pullies from racing beat and just use 2 factory belts
