alt way of opening you fb's hood??
ok so my hood is closed shut, and the only way i can get it open is by taking the tranny out (witch ive done be4). but i realy dont want to go thru all that trouble of taking it out agen. do you guys know of any other way of getting the hood open?
i was thinking maybe i can undo it from the front some how. do you think that might work?
the reason its not opening is cuz the cable is not conected to the latch. i thought i fixed it the first time but i guess not..
thanks

I highly doubt you'll be able to unbolt it from the front. I suggest you go through all of that trouble and while your at it, fix the problem with the tranny still out. That way if you dont end up fixing it, you dont need to worry about it. Maybe someone will have something a little easier but somehow I doubt it, with a suicide hood being stuck shut your options are limited.

I asked this questin not too long ago. Two suggestions that I got were:
1. One guy said he could reach up from the bottom of the car with a very long screwdriver and pop the latch.
2. The other guy said he very very carefully pryed up the right side of the hood and slipped a screwdriver or a wrench under the hood and popped the latch. Have to be careful not to bend the hood.

I have small hands.... ::Shrugs::
My stepbrother has used me a few times to reach down into his cars to get stuff out. It especially came in handy trying to get spark plug wires down into my old 300zx.
