Dude, my guess of 150 was damn close.

Jon

Edit: and that's on an unported 12a. It's nice to finally get some numbers for that. It means that my goal of 165 < HP < 200 on a Street Port is probably very attainable. Kickass.

Very nice numbers there. 147 hp is really nice out of a 12A and the torque is respectable too. I was expecting less torque actually. What RPM was the HP peak at?

I can't wait to see what my 6 port makes with the edelbrock. Hoping for about 150 rwhp from the setup, properly turned of course. The changes in the timing is actually a nice bit of info. I'm amazed at how much ignition timing can change the hp. But to get over the hurtle with not having enough adjustment in timing for the TT box, you could pull the distributor and turn the gear abou 1 tooth in either direction. Might give you the adjustment you want.

Actually this is out of a SP engine ... I don't think you'd be able to get that through stock ports with bolt on modifications

Rob and I tested and found only like 3-4 hp increase. However HP isnt everything. Try driving without TT for a month, then drive with it for a month. Its all about the driving experience

^what he said. need some data

Looks like my original guesstimate of around 160 @ the flywheel was pretty darn close.
