Alright let the guessing begin :D HP Numbers

Alright so i'll be dyno tuning my car tomorrow let see who'll come up with the closest number ... specs are in sig :D

Rogue_Wulff 09-18-06 02:54 PM

Around 160 flywheel.

rolfs_7 09-18-06 02:54 PM

1000000000000000000000000000000.1345641314 RWHP!!! no uhh i dunno much about 12as...so 180?? lol no idea

Naegleria_Fowleri 09-18-06 03:02 PM

I am going to say around 125 at the wheels.

dj55b 09-18-06 03:16 PM

I would like to be around 135 at the wheel ...

Naegleria_Fowleri 09-18-06 03:18 PM

You said to guess, so I made up an answer. lol There is no logic or anything behind my thought. Just a random number to fill in a guess.

craigw1 09-18-06 03:24 PM

my back of the cigarette box calc

12a std at flywheel is 100hp. Assume 17% drivetrain loss and engine age, thats 83hp on the wheels. I'll give you 10% for the street port, 10% for the holley and 10% for your exhaust system. So thats 83 x 1.3 = 107.9 lets say 110hp on the wheels.

FirebirdSlayer666 09-18-06 03:25 PM

I'll have to say around 140 to the wheels. But it's a guess because we don't know how aggressive the streetport is and what not

Rogue_Wulff 09-18-06 03:29 PM

110RWHP is a little low. My '83 with a mild SP 12A, stock intake/carb and factory exhaust manifold w/ free flow exhaust pipe/muffler made close to that. It also gets 24-26MPG hiway, 20-22 city/hiway combined.

t_g_farrell 09-18-06 03:37 PM

I'll guess 145RWHP if the streetport is doen right and the holley is tuned well. Mayeb more.

NoPis10 09-18-06 06:26 PM

about 135 HP max..

PaulFitzwarryne 09-18-06 06:35 PM

If it does not rain, 122.54rwhp.

perfect_circle 09-18-06 06:44 PM

if its tuned well id say around 160 at the wheels.

ChasRX 09-18-06 07:15 PM

114

Don't go trying to confuse us with logic now! lol

I'm going to say about 128 atw. It just sounds like a lonely number that doesn't get used much, and I felt like giving it a little attention because of that. :)
