Alright... I need help.

Stupid me took out the drainage hoses from my sunroof to clean them out, because the pit around the sunroof wasn't draining. But, rather than being intelligent enough to do one at a time so I could see how to put them back in, I just whipped 'em out. So, who here knows how they go back in to the sides of the car? Pics would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

Front or rear drains? I will assume the front, the go down behind the speaker, then forward through the hole, towards the inside of the fender.

If it is the rear ones, you have a problem.

Let me know which, I have a chassis pretty well stripped and can probably get you some pics.

It's the rears. The fronts looked like too much of a bitch, and weren't clogged, so I left 'em.

For future refrence a good length on flexible hobby wire will do a good job on the drains, or, if you can find it, a long length of pipecleaner is even better.

And if you're cleaning drains, don't forget about the rear hatch drains

Yeah, I pulled those out and put on new ones. That was simple enough. I had cleaned the hatch drains on my old FB by ramming a straightened wire coat hanger through it, but I think from now on, I will use the compressed air.

OK, we all know how to clean them out in the future. In the meantime, can we figure out how to put them back in the right way???

If the hose is plugged then compressed air will blow the tube off the nipple, leaving you with a new problem. Do it gently with a flexible wire.

The way the tubes are run from the back sunroof drains and into the side panels.

Look, this is how they are on... Is this right? I noticed that I have a little bit of a wet spot on the floor of the car, and I need to NOT have that, especially with my brand new interior going in.

A little off topic but you should wait to install the rest of the interior b4 you put the rear door panel there remaninding pieces all have lips on them so they go under neath it will be difficult and you could possible brake the cardboard backing so the last piece is the rear door panel. Food fo thought I just finished doing this. Looks good though.

go get yourself a little water bottle, and pour some water into the sunroof from above and see if it drains or if it plugs up. Just make sure not to get water down in the sunroof tracks, or else it will leak for sure. In all honesty, its going to drain as long as there are no kinks in your hose. There is no right or wrong way to run them, just trial and error with a water bottle like I said. Your going to have to check after you re-install the interior as well to check and see if its draining.

This is how I do it with all sunroof waterleaks I encounter, or the ones I have to fabricate. (ZR2 blazers are a spectacular bitch when it comes to this.) Just try to make sure that the flow of your hose is downward, and there are no kinks and you should be fine. Also use some sort of clamp or zip tie to fasten the hose to your sunroof assembly where the hose attaches just so it doesnt slip off.

That should be about it, just test her out. If it drains from the rear rocker drain area, your good, it should come out in a decent steady flow to trickle.

I'm getting water into the rear of my car, you guys think maybe my hatch drains could be plugged and it is over filling into the car? Or are there other drain hoses that run near the spare-tire well? The other day I went to get my jack out and I noticed a little bit of water down there, and i'm now trying to figure out where it is coming from.

When I did the test with a cup of water method, it had pooled up where the storage bins were... It stopped doing it when I ran them the way they are in the pic, but I want to make sure they are run correctly.
