All Seaon Radials or Snow tires

well my winter car has died and i have to drive the 7 for probally some of the winter... now i live in cleveland and can occasionally get a few feet of snow here or there... anyone from the snowy states have any input on how all seasons work as compared to strictly snow tires..

there's a noticable difference, but new all-seasons work well too, and then you save some cash too...do they salt the roads down there?

go with a good set of winter tires, like Michelin's X-Ice or Bridgestone's Blizzak tires, and you should be able to get where ever your going through out the winter season.

I say snow tires because of the old "lake effect snow" that you guys(Cleveland) are known for.

don't go halfway, get the real thing. I ran Hancook snow tires on my front wheel drive Audi, and that thing was unstoppable. They will probably help keep you out of the ditches, and their nice and cheap too. Nice, agressive tread on those puppies, but not real noisy on the highway...

Nokian RSi. I just put a set on and they are great! Best winter tires I have ever used!

Back when my 7 was my only car, a nice set of studded snow tires in the back got me through everything Lake Erie/Ontario could throw here.

Don't skimp, get real snow tires.

all you have to do is drive real snow tires once and you'll realize all seasons suck. its the temperature effect on the rubber , not so much the tread that makes the difference. All seasons turn into hockey pucks in the cold . I have goodyear nordic on the protege and they drive and brake great, fairly low profile as well, so still look good.

+a million for the snow tires

I never drove my 7 in the snow, but have used snow tires on other cars and they are the real deal!
