All Nikkis have two checkballs and weights?

Rebuilding an '83 Nikki for a friend. Was running poorly since he picked up the car.

Upon dissassembly, I found that the accelerator pump inlet had the check ball but not the very long skinny weight I'm used to.

The accelerator pump outlet had the barrel weight and same check ball.

Could this be part of why his car was running poorly? Is the weight supposed to be missing? The car did seem to have pump shot when it was running.

Thanks guys!

It's supposed to have it, but the AP can still function without one.
Shouldn't be a reason to run crappy unless you saw the AP nozzle hemorrhaging while it was running.

No hemmorage. Think the run bad was all the goo and junk in the bowls! LOL Plus a few of the bleeds were clogged. Should run like a champ now!

I had a spare carb so I grabbed the weight off it today after reading this at work.

Thanks Sterling!
