All FC waterpumps aluminum?

Are the N/A 86-88 waterpump houseings and pumps aluminum?

I have read a few threads, most refer to the turbo models.

The pump on my gs is going and I'm thinking of doing the mod.

Thanks,

Steve.

I thought the housing was alum and the pump was iron. I could be wrong though.

From what I have read, these can be "made" to fit an earlier 13b, or 12a as a lightening mod.The houseing, that is.

I thought I read somewhere that the pump was also alum.

Thanks for the fast reply.

6 or 7 lbs., not too easy, one of the holes in the fc houseing needs to be plugged, or welded on the engine side, and helicoiled, or drilled and tapped on the other for the pump.
Something about the alt. bracket also, but I don't think that was too difficult.
