air flow meter?

has any one converted the flapper type afm to a hot wire type? if so was it worth the trouble? the flapper type seems so restrictive.

I've thought the same thing. Pro-M could build you one. I hate this AFM, I picked up about 15 HP and a ton of driveability just by opening mine and spraying the potenometer with Radio Shack Tuner cleaner. Stupid mechanical POS.
