I have a 79 S1 RX7. And its got aircon in it. When i purchased the car it had no belt on the aircon, but the bloke said that it would go if i just put on a new belt. Well i put on the belt but the clutch wont engage letting the compressor spin. Looking on the centre console theres no button or switch for aircon so im wondering how it SHOULD work, and even better... how can i make it work.

I think all the wires are there but i just need someone whos done it before to help, possible send pictures etc

Any help is greatly appreciated as all the manuals i buy/download dont have anything about aircon

Pull out all the AC crap. You don't need it and it's a hassle to get it working properly. Roll the windows down man and breathe the fresh air.

 

the button for my ac is on the fan speed control, you just push it in. Mine is an 83 though.
I love my ac, always works fine for me.
