Air conditioner dryer question

Putting in a new dryer/reciever. Which way does the flow go, arrow towards the small pipe, or arrow towards the larger, rubber hose? Old one was so corroded I couldn't tell.

Thanks!

Both of my dryer connections are through hard lines to rubber hoses, and both are the same size. As might be expected, since there is no pressure drop across the dryer. I suspect we have the same system.
I have a new spare dryer for my '84. After comparing it to the one in the car, the arrow (flow) goes from the drivers side to passenger side.

The filter drier should be in the high pressure liquid line between the condenser outlet and the expansion valve inlet located in the cabin. Best to trace out your lines and make sure, it's not that hard.
