Aftermarket seat options for '79

Does anyone know if there are any good seat options that will fit into the first gen without too much hassle? I have original seats, but they are in pretty bad shape.

All FB and 2nd Gen RX7 seats will bolt right in.
For aftermarket, you will need to hunt down an adapting floor bracket. Each side is unique.
Then most aftermarket seats should mount up. If you are trying to use a seat from another car Brand, that may be more challenging.
I mounted RX8 seats in my 80 this way, but it took some mods to make them fit...

Nothing like the original seats. I find a lot of aftermarket seats end up making the car a lot less classy. I think this is because it just remind some of the cheap 'racing seat's that people put in all sorts of cars that don't belong.

These have very good reviews on the forums, there are a few threads. Cost is for driver and passenger which is very reasonable.

Thanks, yea I was looking at these. My current seats have some issues with the foam that I think Id have to sort if using a cover. I'm going to get them out of the car for a closer look and see if they are worth saving.

all of the seat manufactures have had rails for the SA/FB but they can be hard to find in the USA these days.

I'll bet - thanks for the link. I'm hoping to salvage the ones on there now but may have to get new ones.
