Aftermarket Parts

One thing I never thought about before picking this car up, were the aftermarket parts. They are hard to find.(if they even exist) I will begin working on some aftermarket parts to help dress up the 1st Gens. I will keep everyone posted with pics and how to's as I finish each one. First thing update the tail lights. I think a nice cover for them will suffice.

its all about personal style, i agree they do look great, Im in love with mine, but that doesnt mean mine, has to look like yours. Why else do people buy nice rims, body kits, and non-functional hood scoops, They want their own style

Hmmmmm, I am guessing you bought an SA (79-80) since you are wanting covers for the taillights. The FB came with a lightly tinted cover from the factory.

tail lights as a first mod? oh hell no

For the price of the non-functional crap you'll make/design or even buy for your 7, you could put that money into something like a new fuel system, or hell, even buy gas.

Who needs gas? In one thread we found out you don't even need the breaks...or any other part of the car actually.

LOL

My car went without any interior electronics, windshield wipers, practically no brakes, no wheel wells, no passenger seat, no carpet, no shift ****, no center console, etc. Hell, the vent fans didn't even work. I have to say that some of the best fun I had with the car was when it was in that state =D

But yeah, why spend money on hood scoops and tail lights when you can save 600 bucks for an RB exhaust that will increase your horsepower at least 20%?

Here you go dude, instead of investing all of the money into "dressing it up." Just bank it all, and follow the guide to weight reduction listed in this thread. It has some awesome ideas in it. It's towards the bottom of page 3 and just about all of 4 for the weight reduction.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...5&page=3&pp=15

I don't think I'll ever forget that thread though.
