Aftermarket Guage

Okay dont flame me guys, ive done some searching but cant find exactly what im looking for... heres the thing, ive got an 80 SA and i am looking at creating and installing a custom guage cluster. Aftermarket guages all around, i already have the setup for the tach, water temp, voltage, and i think i got it figured for the fuel guage.... problem is mainly the Speedo. i found a generic Equus Gauge on ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SPEED...QQcmdZViewItem ) that i was looking at getting, but i dont know the ratio or the speedo cable size.... i dont really wanna go with something that looks so generic, maybe something like a motorcycle speedo or something... basically i need to know the specifications for the female end of the stock speedo that the cable attaches to so i can purchase something that i can make work... in terms of the clip that holds it to the back, im not really worried. ive done enough fabrication, i can find a way to keep it in place. also, i would like to set up a fuel pressure gauge inside it but dont really wanna do a mechanical... would like to find an electric pressure gauge so i can run the wire directly through the firewall. and of course Oil pressure and temp... any ideas on those two? and where would i hook up those two on the "block" to get the most accurate reading. any help would be appreciated. thanks .,

The oil temp and pressure are easy. Buy the adapter from any number of companies that make it. It is usually between the oil filter and oil filter housing.
Water temp is easy too you can buy adapters that you just cut the radiator hose and put the adapetr inbetween and they are tapped for 1/8 NPT or you can make one. It's not to hard. Fuel pressure is easy too pretty much same as oil pressure but it's spliced off the feed hose in lots of different ways. At the filter or anywhere along the line. I've seen some people do it at the pump outlet. I prefer to take the reading from the last possible place before the fuel enters the engine. Speedo I have no idea, but the drive for the stock speedo is a square wire thing also very common on other Japanese cars and possibly american ones too. The 88-91 Honda Civic (or EF civic) has the exact same drive cable type. Maybe you might fine some info on Honda-tech if any one has insalled an aftermarket speedo in one of those cars. I know there are many types of electrical senders for speedos but only ever had to mess with stock parts for cable driven speedos. I honestly think the stock cable drive type is the easiest to maintain and buy parts for but that's just me. Electronic speed sensors always fail on every car they are on. Or they get crap in the connector and it corrodes and ruins the plug and or sensor. But I also like cable clutches instead of hydralic ones so maybe there is something wrong with me.........
