Aftermarket Dizzies?

Hey Guys,

Well I was wasting time watching those "Power Block" car shows on Spike, and I saw an advertisement for aftermarket distributors. And that's when it hit me: Are there any we can adapt to our cars?

I doubt there's much we can get out of 'em really, but it was definitely something I thought was worth looking into. Does anybody refurbish/rebuild dizzies? Can any of the pissed-on engine ones be adapted?

At the least, I'd like to get the little vacuum boxes on mine sandblasted when I rebuild the engine, since they look like crap and they're almost the only things left in my engine bay that do.

Not likely. Due to the "complicated" ignition on a rotary its probably not possible, but if it is, it probably wouldn't be worth it. The stock ignition can be upgraded easily enough that it wouldn't be cost effective to addapt a piston engine dizzy.

Sorry late at night, and my lame attempt at trying to be funny.

But the best way i belive is the msd6a.....what would an aftermarket dizzy do for us though, IF someone was to build one.
