Aftermarket carpet?

Hi guys, been out of the SA-FB game a while, now actively looking for one. Saw a couple that had no carpet. Any aftermarket carpet that’s worth a darn? Years ago the answer was no.

ebay has several vendors listing carpets, and Mazdatrix still sells a nice set I believe. Not a Big Ask these days, you should be able to find some excellent carpets. Most are now "shaped" like the OE carpet, with a pre-formed backing to make the fit even sweeter. Either you or a local pro will still need to put holes in most brands, for seat mounts, tranny cut-outs...

A good way to put the holes in is to heat a rod or big screwdriver to punch the holes. This makes the hole and burns the carpet so no ravelling. No need to use a utility knife.

I bought the Stock Interiors full set for my SA rebuild and added the mass backing. Nice stuff. Need to cut out the holes, but it's preformed and when you use your old carpet as a template, you can find where you need to cut it. Worked out well for me.
