after 4 years I am getting ready for..

seriously putting a more powerful engine in my 7. Here is the dilemma:
I have 2 high mileage (over 200k) 12a's and one 87 6 porter in my possession. the 13B is frozen solid. Yes I tried MMO and to no avail. I had wanted to put a TII engine in but I am thinking this over. A few thoughts..

1. It seems that a rebuilt streetported 6 port done by pineapple racing would be about the same cost or even less as a used turbo would.

2. I believe that I was quoted that an around 200hp was possible from a NA 6port. which would be in the same range as a stock TII.

3. the turbo can be modded to higher power by raising boost and paying more.

4. I can get a warrantee if rebuilt.

5. turbo would provide "mad" power but at the cost of possible reliability.

Now comes the big questions. is 200 hp enough in a fb? I would think there comes a point where power would become a problem. also are weight to hp ratios a fair comparison. example. lets say a stock FB weighs 2800 lbs and has a 255 hp. 10.9:1 and my 7 is at 2300 lbs at 200 11.5:1

would this land me near fd performance if gearing was simular?

thank you
