I need to replace my spindle. It comes in a Strut assembly. Do I need special tools. Has anyone done it before. How long dose it take and 1 to 10 how hard is it. Also
I need to change the fuel filter, anything I should Know?

Not a major job. Biggest headache is the bolts that hold the bottom of the strut assembly to the steering knuckle. Make sure they are well soaked with P B Blaster. There is a little triangle in the rubber at the top of the assembly, viewed from the engine bay, this orients the alignment for caster and camber. Make a note of it's position before removing.

Fuel filter, you shouldn't even need to ask.

All good advice, but are you swapping complete strut assemblies? If not, you'll need a few more tools, like a spring compressor and your choice of tools to get the gland nut off the top of the strut tube if you're planning to move strut insert form one assembly to another.

Air tools make the job much easier, although they're not 100% necessary. The FSM or a Haynes manual is mandatory. On the whole, the job is more PITA than difficult. Do a search on "strut replacement" or similar terms. There's one out there complete with pictures, maybe in the archive section.
