Get a Holley 1-5psi regulator. That's what I have and works great.

EFI means that you're going to need a fuel pressure regulator good for up to 50-60psi. You can check with some of the on-line retailers, and possibly with the 2nd Gen forum guys, as they are all using EFI in the later generation cars.

Are you having a flooding problem with your 13B RE-EGI motor, or just trying to make sure that you're getting good consistent fuel pressure at the injectors?

Have you checked the fuel pressure and found something wrong? IMO a new fuel pressure regulator is unlikely to do jack squat to eliminate flooding. The problem is usually leaky injectors or not running the car until its warmed up. In fact I bet a FPR would only make it worse, because they typically hold rail pressure longer after the pump shuts off than the stock one.

Unless future mods include a massive turbo, save your money -- don't buy an FPR.

Fuel cutoff switch will keep you out of trouble for a while but the real reason needs to be dealt with eventually ( ie injectors).

If ya gotta spend the 125+ dollars to feel better though Summit is the place.

You need to buy a good high pressure fuel tester, and see what your fuel pressure is. The factory manual does a excellent job of explaining what the fuel pressure should be with and without the regulator.

My bet will be on bad injector(s), but do the testing to verify a problem instead of wasting a lot of money by being a parts changer.

I'm having the same problem with flooding and I just priced the pressure regulator from Mazda and it is
$ 148.00. I'm considering replacing it with a aftermarket unit, but what problems can I expect?
