Question added two injectors gsl-se

i just put an 87 gxl motor in my gsl-se / i used the gxl intake and have been just
running the two factory 750 gsl-se injectors. my motor is ported intake and exhaust has headers and a bonez intake. it does not have the power it should.
it does not feel any better than a stock gsl-se. i wired up a air fuel guage and it
is getting lean at aroung 6k rpm. i thought it would work if i wired up 2 of the gxl 450 injectors up on the manifold. i did this and it ran way worse. has any body ever done this before? any suggestions on how to get more fuel?

You need to use the GSL-SE intake. The throttle body and chambers are different now and the ECU doesn't know that anything has changed.

that doesn't sound right. I read all the time about people putting second get intakes on the SE. Swap over to the second gen ecu, go megasquirt. . ? i dunno. Have you checked your timing?

If your trying to use the GSL-SE ecu with 4 injectors, your going to mess something up. GSL-SE is low-impedence injectors. 2nd gens are high impendence. If you go with 2nd gen ecu, you need EVERYTHING from the 2nd gen too. Mixing parts doesnt work well, they just didnt design our cars like they do now. Its a better idea to just run the GSL-SE intake with the ecu and stick with it. Likely the only gain you'll get with your porting, you'll need to run an aftermarkey fuel controller. Then TUNE IT!!!!!!!

The injectors out of the Se are 680cc injectors.
I take it you are running the complete intake and are running the stock se AFM.
As others have stated you cannot just hook up injectors. The se ECU is mapped for 2 injectors. You would need a mega squirt to control the secondary injectors.
Did you use the SE Fuel pressure regulator? And did you leave the fuel rail blocked off to the secondary injectors?
The Se motor and the Gxl have the same compression.
If you are using the se FPR and have blocked off the secondary rail, which means no fuel is running to the rail and are using the SE AFM then i would check fuel pump pressure and fuel system pressure and volume.

I Wanted To Use The Gxl Ecm But They Are Totally Different In Wiring. Dose Any One Have A Good Diagram Of Both Ecms. I Have Both Of The Hanes Manuals But They Are Not Very Good. Ar Ethere Any Web Sites That Have Already Done This And Show How The Wires Hook Up?

My Fuel Pressure Is Good , Volume Is Correct. I Know This Swap Is Done Alot But I Am Having So Much Trouble Getting It To Run Right I Have Almost Given Up.

there is a lot of miss info on this thread. if you want help fixing your problem, you will need to state exactly how your car is set up. wireing, exhaust, mods;porting exct, hard parts what years the parts are from. you can use the 2nd gen intake on it, some 2nd gen injectors are low imped some are high, there are many ways to use more than 2 injectors with a se ecu.

how? i got an 88 block and intake, racing beat exhaust, msd ignition, all emission removed, a/c removed. thats about it. it's all ran by the gsl-se ecu. how can i add 2 injectors? i should say that right now i have the injector holes on the UIM blocked off.

use one of the many AIC controlers available piggy backed to the gslse ecu. there are a few that you can get as a kit for a little more than $100. but if you have the skill to do this, the best would be to wire in a full ecu replacement. by the way with a NA 13b second gen non ported engine 4 gslse injectors would be to much fuel to get to run correctly, IMHO I would not use more than 4 of the 550cc early second gen turbo injectors unless you would like to throw more money at a stand alone ecu than your car is worth.
