ACV Replaced!

I finished replacing my Air Control Valve on my -SE today. I was tired of the backfiring on decel and shift points. Not to mention it threw my smog out of whack.

I also replaced the check valve that was internal to it...thanks to Ray Crowe. When I orderd the ACV, he threw it in and told me, "You'll see why". Well indeed, I see why. It had all kinds of oil gunk on it.

My lesson for the day: Never challenge Ray Crowe's judgement!

Now all that is needed is recheck the timing and idle - seems to run higher now.

just did my ACV too! I thought I heard a back fire, but I wasn't sure at the time, but a whole lot less popping, here's hoping it'll help emissions
