ACV plate problems, i broke some bolts and im SCREWED HELP ME! (haha)
Ok the bad word choice probably brought you in here to insult me, but while removing my rats nest, the two lower bolts that held on the ACV snapped off, and are jammed in the block. I silicon'ed the plate on for now, but it leaks like a sive and makes my car idle at like 1k. I need to get these friki'n bolts out! Should i just get a new intake and carb?

I usually use an easy-out (I think its called a bolt extraction something or another). I bought my set at Sears. Problem is, you'd really have to take the manifold off to do this properly. You have to drill a small hole in the broken bolt to insert the easy out (to grab the bolt)..
Plus- that is a really small bolt..You may have problems drilling a starting hole..
In any event-They're easy to use. I broke a lot of bolts on an old tractor I restored..The easy-out is a life-saver..
An easier solution may be to use JB weld the plate on and hope that last screw is enough to keep the integrity of the bead. You'd still have to take the manifold off though..
Someone else may have a better trick(s), but I know the easy out works..

I think I would remove the intake and try the easy out. If that don't work out you could always redrill and tap them at that point going to a bigger size. Since you don't intend on using the acv you could go to a larger size if needed. I'm afraid that this would be next to impossible wtih the manifold installed thought.
