acceleration problem

I'm not really sure if this is normal or not, but when I'm really jamming on the gas the car seems to pause for a second at about 3k RPM. So off the line it launches good but at about 3k in first and second it almost seems like it's not getting fuel for a quick second.....then it goes fine again. The acceleration just Isn't as smooth as it should be. is this normal in an FB or is something(ie. fuel pump, carb) not working properly? Sorry if that didn't make a lot of sense, it's kinda hard to explain.

Secondaries not opening smoothly maybe? A little stuck maybe, I dont really know. I would say what everyone else says "spray it down with carb cleaner and make sure all the linkages work well, then try it out". I dunno, help me guys...
