ac problem

ac problem

my 85 has always had low air volume coming threw vents when ac or heater is used recently put new blower motor in car still little air coming from vents it blows just not what it should be has anyone found fix for this i know lot of people with 1st gen have this concern

Check the gasket/foam seal under the metal band holding the blower motor asembly to the evaporator box. It is located to the left of the blower motor. If the gasket/foam seal is missing or disintigrated the blower motor air will bleed off and not progress through the ductwork.

there could also be build up of junk in front of the evap and heater core

I had the samething happen to me I re-sealed it and the air flow was much greater.
