i am planning on porting my engine, my dad owns a machine shop so we have all kinds of tools and drills and crap plus 30+ years experiance will i be alright porting this in my garage, also if i want to run high rpm's should I harden my stationary gears.

P.s. i am planning on just a street port, thanks all input is welcome.

Hardened gears aren't really necessary with the sort of rpm's you'll require with a street port. And unless you plan on using carbon seals you shouldn't be going past 8500rpm much anyway.
