?? About 79 Rx-7 Radiator

Guys, I am new here.Can anyone tell me what is on top of the 79 rx-7 radiator next to the fill cap?It has a brass thread piece but what goes there?Also on all of the tubes coming out of the bottom are those for a auto tranny?Thanks

In the center of the radiator is a coolant level sensor. And if you're talking about small metal lines that come out of the radiator from the driver side and go over to the passenger side and stick out a little, then yes, those are auto tranny lines.

Do all of the 79 radiators have these lines coming out of the bottom?Thanks!I am putting this rad in my 81 starlet, thanks.

no just the auto ones. Most aftermarket replacements have the places for the trans fittings already built in.

Yes, this was a replacement I picked up.I guess I'll cut and crimp the lines or just make them connect to one another,thanks

No need to do anything with those lines. There should not be any coolant coming out, or it would quickly kill an auto tranny. If they leak, it's a bad radiator.

Yup, they are disconnected on a manual-equipped car. I was wondering last week what those lines were; glad I checked this thread =).
