how can i improve my mpg. i only get 20 city and highway.it stated they got 21/30 from the factory. thanks

Drive like an old lady. Seriously, I think that must be how they decided on the mpg for this car. When my '85GS was stock, I got about 19mpg overall but I knew it was because of how I drove it. These cars are too much fun to worry about gas mileage. If economy is the priority then you're probably better off with a boinger. Sorry I couldn't give you good news here, but maybe someone else has a tip for you.

You're lucky, my 81 states on the window sticker 17/21.

In my opinion you are doing very well. I drive hard and average out with about 13 mpg. No better than my built '66 mustang.

ok, I just got back from my 140 mile road trip. I got 19.8 mpg.
